The 2021 quarter ounce gold Kangaroo is Australia's fractional version of the one ounce gold Kangaroo bullion coin. Since 1986, the Perth Mint has produced this $25 face value coin with different reverse designs, originally a traditional gold nugget, with a Kangaroo design in the early 90's. Every year the artwork on the reverse is a different Kangaroo scene. The face of the coin features Queen Elizabeth II. The Kangaroo is .9999 fine gold. They are encased in mint-issued plastic capsules to protect the coins.
